Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive Kilimanjaro — Transfer to Arusha
Welcome to Tanzania. Our team meets you on arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport and assists with your luggage before the drive to Arusha — the safari capital of northern Tanzania and your base for the adventure ahead. On a clear day the drive offers glimpses of Mount Kilimanjaro and the rolling highlands.

Day 2
Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park — a park that rewards those who visit it with some of the most spectacular elephant concentrations in Africa. During the dry season, the Tarangire River draws enormous herds of elephants, zebra, wildebeest and buffalo into the open. The park is also famous for its ancient baobab trees, some of them thousands of years old.

Day 3
Ngorongoro Crater & Transfer to Serengeti
After breakfast, proceed to Ngorongoro Crater — the world's largest intact volcanic caldera and one of Africa's most extraordinary wildlife arenas. Descend onto the crater floor, where lions, elephants, hippos, wildebeest, zebras and the endangered black rhino all live within the confines of the crater walls. Continue towards Serengeti National Park through scenic highland landscapes.

Day 4
Full Day in Serengeti National Park
A full, uninterrupted day on the Serengeti — the most famous wildlife stage on earth. The park is home to the Big Five and to vast herds of wildlife roaming across open savannah plains studded with granite kopjes and acacia woodland.

Day 5
Olduvai Gorge & Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, depart the Serengeti and drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, stopping at Olduvai Gorge — one of the most significant palaeontological and archaeological sites in the world, where Mary and Louis Leakey discovered some of the earliest known human fossil remains. Continue to Arusha for your final night before Zanzibar.

Day 6
Transfer to Arusha Airport — Flight to Zanzibar
After breakfast, transfer to Arusha Airport for your domestic flight to Zanzibar. The transition from five days in the dust and drama of the bush to the warm, salt-scented air of the Indian Ocean coastline is one of travel's most satisfying contrasts. On arrival, you are met and transferred to your beachfront resort.

Day 7
Zanzibar Beach Relaxation
A full day with nothing to do but enjoy it. Swim in the warm, shallow turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, walk the beach at low tide, or find a shaded spot under a palm tree and stay there for the better part of the day. After the pace of five safari days, this deliberate slowness is exactly what the body calls for.

Day 8
Zanzibar Leisure Day
Another day of rest on the island, structured entirely around your own preferences. Stay at the resort, or venture out and explore — Zanzibar rewards those who look a little deeper.

Day 9
Departure — Transfer to Zanzibar Airport
After a final breakfast at your resort, check out and transfer to Abeid Amani Karume International Airport for your onward flight home. Nine days across Tanzania's finest safari parks and one of the Indian Ocean's most beautiful islands.
