Nature, Wildlife & the Ocean
The Seychelles That Goes Beyond the Beach
The most adventure-driven package in our Seychelles collection. Based in Praslin throughout, you explore a prehistoric Coco de Mer forest, the world's most photographed granite boulder beach on La Digue, and Curieuse Island — an uninhabited national park where giant Aldabra tortoises roam free alongside some of the best snorkelling reefs Praslin has to offer.
Package Highlights
Five days based on Praslin — two packed with guided adventure across three islands, one free day entirely on your own terms. Return ferry from Mahé, all excursion entrance fees and a Creole buffet lunch are included.
Curieuse Island — Where Giant Tortoises Walk Alongside You
Curieuse is a national park island with no permanent residents and no hotel. The giant Aldabra tortoise, one of only two surviving giant tortoise species in the world, roams freely across the island's beaches, mangroves and forest floor. These animals can live for 150 years and weigh over 200 kilograms — encountering them unhurried in an open natural environment is a wildlife experience that stays with you. St. Pierre Islet adds the underwater dimension: two snorkelling sites through coral reef teeming with parrotfish, triggerfish and reef sharks.
Day-by-Day Itinerary
Arrival in Mahé — Ferry Crossing to Praslin
Transfer directly from the airport to the Mahé Ferry Terminal and board the inter-island ferry to Praslin — roughly an hour, with Mahé's mountains fading behind and Praslin's greener outline ahead. Our local representative meets you at the jetty and transfers you to your hotel.
Meals: None on Day 1
Vallée de Mai & La Digue Excursion
The morning begins in the Vallée de Mai, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where the Coco de Mer palm grows in its only truly wild habitat. Continue by boat to La Digue — visit L'Union Estate, then Anse Source d'Argent's sheltered lagoon divided by smooth pink and orange granite boulders. A Creole buffet lunch is served before a relaxed afternoon on the beach.

Curieuse Island & St. Pierre — Giant Tortoises, Snorkelling & Wild Beaches
Board your boat for the crossing to Curieuse Island, a national park with no hotel, no cars and one of the largest free-roaming populations of Aldabra giant tortoises outside the Aldabra Atoll. A guided nature walk along the coastal trail covers mangrove boardwalks and nesting sites. St. Pierre Islet brings the underwater world into focus — two snorkelling sites through healthy coral reef.
