8-Day Seychelles Island Explorer — Mahé, Praslin & La Digue
The most comprehensive island-hopping itinerary in our Seychelles collection — three islands, a rum distillery, a rainforest summit and a bicycle ride to the world's most photographed beach.
The Most Complete Seychelles Itinerary
Eight Days, Three Islands, Nothing Left Out
This is the longest and most comprehensive package in our Seychelles collection — built for travellers who want to properly cover all three main islands without rushing any of them. Three nights on Mahé take in a guided city tour, a rum distillery, and a forest hike to one of the island's best viewpoints. Praslin follows with the option to explore the UNESCO-listed Vallée de Mai at your own pace, before a full-day excursion to La Digue by bicycle. A final leisure day on Praslin lets the trip close gently rather than rushing straight to the airport.
Package Highlights
Eight days structured to give every island its proper due — guided cultural touring on Mahé, a rainforest hike to a panoramic summit, an optional UNESCO forest visit on Praslin, and a full bicycle day on La Digue ending at the most photographed beach in the Seychelles.
Day-by-Day Itinerary
Arrival in Mahé
You're met and assisted at the airport on arrival, then transferred to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is yours to settle in at your own pace before the touring begins tomorrow.
Meals: None on Day 1
Mahé Sightseeing Tour
After breakfast, a guided tour takes in the Takamaka Rum Distillery — one of Mahé's best-known producers — followed by the Victoria Clock Tower, the small but iconic landmark at the heart of the world's smallest capital city. The tour continues to a local tea factory tucked into the hills above town, where the cooler mountain air and the production process are both worth the visit.
- Takamaka Rum Distillery tour
- Victoria Clock Tower & local tea factory
Meals: Breakfast
Victoria's compact capital charm, Praslin's primeval Coco de Mer forest, and La Digue's iconic granite boulders
Copolia Trail Experience
After breakfast, transfer to the trailhead for a guided hike through tropical forest to the Copolia Trail summit. The climb is moderate but rewards every step — the granite plateau at the top opens onto one of Mahé's finest panoramic views, looking out across the island's interior to the coastline beyond.
- Guided forest hike to the Copolia Trail summit
- Panoramic island views from the granite plateau
Meals: Breakfast
Mahé to Praslin
After breakfast and check-out, transfer to the ferry terminal for the crossing to Praslin. On arrival, check in at your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure on the beach — three days of touring on Mahé give way to Praslin's quieter, greener pace.
Meals: Breakfast
Praslin — Optional Tour
A free day on Praslin with the option to visit the Vallée de Mai Nature Reserve — a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of only two places on Earth where the Coco de Mer palm grows naturally. The forest's prehistoric atmosphere and the scale of the Coco de Mer nut itself make it one of the most distinctive natural sites in the Indian Ocean.
Meals: Breakfast
La Digue's bicycle-friendly roads leading to Anse Source d'Argent, and the quiet beaches of Praslin waiting on the final leisure day
La Digue Island Tour
After breakfast, transfer to the jetty for the boat crossing to La Digue. A bicycle tour of the island follows — the preferred way to get around an island with almost no cars. The route takes in L'Union Estate, with its working coconut oil press and traditional Creole buildings, before finishing at Anse Source d'Argent: the shallow lagoon framed by smooth pink and orange granite boulders that has made this the most photographed beach in the Seychelles.
- Bicycle tour of La Digue Island
- L'Union Estate & Anse Source d'Argent
Meals: Breakfast
Leisure Day
After breakfast, a full day at leisure on Praslin — the trip's deliberate exhale after six days of touring across three islands. Beach time, optional activities, or simply the resort, the pool and nowhere to be.
Meals: Breakfast
Departure
A final breakfast, then check out and transfer by ferry back to Mahé, followed by an airport transfer for your departure flight. Eight days — three islands, a rum distillery, a rainforest summit, a UNESCO forest and a bicycle ride to the world's most photographed beach.
